The issue is their hardware's extremely underpowered honestly. Barely any RAM and CPU resources so say bye to ZFS. They use Btrfs and I assume they do their own hacky RAID thing to bypass the hell that is Btrfs RAID 5/6, probably losing the capability to resolve errors from other drives unless they have dm-integrity also...
