This reads so different now from when I wrote it... Doesn't flow for me. Like I am not feeling it anymore... Good to remember how some things feel real at a certain point and then they don't. Probably a good reason why we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously. Nothing's (?) permanent.

Woke up feeling grateful for the gem that I am and remembering this poem I wrote so many moons ago. {Giggles}

Treasure you and others will do too.

*****
Look,
It is a treasure chest!

Oh, you silly pirate
at last you found the treasure
you've been after, all this time.
You dare and claim it for a second.
This treasure chest is truly generous,
it lets you.
Perhaps you are the chosen one to go inside
where noone has before.

But sadly you're blind and lost.
You take a few jewels from the surface
just as much as you can take at once.
And then your fear strikes in,
because the treasure chest begins to test you.

Are you truly worthy of the jewels I behold? It asks.

The trickster of your pirate self decides to play...
...deceitful game.
A broken record!
Deceitful, yet only to yourself.

Truth be told.
You don't feel truly worthy,
but you won't admit it to yourself.
Your stubbornness is strong.
You refuse to see through
your own illusions
to unlocking this abundance.

And so the treasure chest won't give in deeper.

So what you do?

You choose the easy path
you toss it to the side
and off you run looking for another treasure
forgetting quickly the rare gift it was to lay your eyes and run your fingers through the jewels of this one.

Hasn't it been years since you've tried to find exactly it?

But you are a silly lost pirate in a sea of chaos
your ship's anchor lost for too many years
and with that your peace.

And it's sad
you don't realize.

This treasure chest could have been your anchor,
a chest of endless treasure of abundance and love
endlessly deep forever to keep
full of treasures of jewels and gold to share.
All yours.
But you go
you run scared.

The stormy sea calling you with a familiar voice.
It's what you know as home.
Safe, even if it's never felt like home.
Never been your sanctuary or given you solace.

But you can't break free. You won't. You choose not to.
You choose what you know.

And fate has it then
a fate ironically chosen by you
this treasure chest wasn't meant for you,
for you resist to see beyond illusion.

This is not a treasure chest for all of men,
although many have tried to claim.

This treasure chest is for the one who SEES
and to him I will give the KEY.

So bless your pirate's heart
maybe in another life. ~Diyana Alcheva
