I see why you have a particular axe to grind with me because of the way I've brought up Coldcard.
I'm not saying everyone is inherently evil. I'm saying toxic maxi brain rot contributed to people's inability to rationally assess Coldcard's incompetence.
It's just facts.
This was Coldcard's NUMBER ONE security feature. THIS is how they marketed and the toxic maxi community ate it up.
To desribe their most important security feature in this way is a blatant signal that they were appealing to toxicity. To dunk like that on their product's home page is a blatant signal they were blowing smoke. Literally everyone except toxic maxis could see Coldcard's red flags from a mile away.
It's just ignoring reality to not recognize the role toxic maximalism played in Coldcard's profileration across the ecosystem.
And it harms all of us. People are more scared to self custody now.
I'm sorry you lost money. That sucks a lot. It shouldn't have happened. If you ignore the role toxic maximalism played in getting here, you might not like where that takes you. History has a tendency to rhyme.
Coldcard is actually a perfect example to bring up here, since it didn't happen "months" ago. It's relatively recent. That event should have affected your ability to hear and reason through what people like me have been saying about it. It should have been a wakeup call for you.
