Karoline Leavitt, Press Secretary for the White House, said the length of U.S. military operations against Iran will depend on when the president determines the mission is complete.

“The operations will end when the Commander in Chief determines that the military objectives have been met and fully realized—and that Iran is in a position of complete and unconditional surrender, whether they say it or not.”

Leavitt clarified that “unconditional surrender” does not necessarily require a formal declaration by Iran; rather, it means the president decides that Iran no longer poses a threat to the United States and the goals of the military campaign have been achieved.
