logically, social change from wastefulness to efficient use of material resources is a pivot point... sure changes to prioritize material use (keep it in the ground and other such movements) will require more human labor time, but i see this as a benefit. custom artisanal everything. elimination of "landfill" as a concept, rather, using every atom of matter in whatever application is reasonable, and eventually mining heterogeneous resource piles (a.k.a. landfills) for whatever is easiest, and then closing the loop. that's it. fin. no more materials except that which is reasonable (in seventh generation or even geologic time).
