The only reason to dislike Elon Musk is because he is a wealthy technocrat, XIX century market liberal, and that kind of people usually think their ideas lead to prosperity regardless of the consequences.
XIX market liberal ideas kinda worked and gave more freedoms to people and economic independence from landlords... but those ideas weren't perfect, they poisoned waters, cities were polluted, converted farms into manufacturing industries and overall the "new enlightened people" brought Marxism/Fascism ideologies to society.
