I certainly haven't meant anything like this. I meant to suggest, jokingly, that you don't enjoy hearing "steenkolen Engels" - i.e. the way Dutch butcher English language.

You know, everybody there speaks quite some English, but often has no idea about the proper idioms, e.g. tourists coming from NL over here say that they "live" here rather than "stay", etc.
