If you haven't already seen how NewPipe (FOSS android YouTube client) handles error reporting, definitely would recommend using them as an example. If you can provide a way for users to not need to manually go to GitHub for issue submission, you're going to get more submissions for situations where things go wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if NewPipe has some automation to turn email submissions into issues
