Yesterday, after listening to someone talking over long distance radio waves using a 5 meter wire antenna it occured to me: All metal objects around us electrically vibrate to the invisible hymns of different waves from all around the world, we're just not listening most of the time.
Fences, lamp posts, bridges, the masts of sail boats. Constantly, silently.
