soliciting information! boosts and replies welcome.
i'm looking for a replacement for personal laptop (my 15" 2017 hp spectre x360 died recently from motherboard exhaustion)
i'm looking for a daily driver for:
light scripting/sysadmining/development
regular basic tasks (browser, communicators, video),
gaming (non-optional)
preferably should have good hardware support for linux (windows is acceptable, but not enjoyed).
as i want to enjoy my gaming, non-intel graphic card is a must (i don't need to play the latest ones in highest detail, but i need to be able to play elder scrolls online and enjoy the result) – on linux this means good support by steam + proton.
i'm thinking of something used or refurbished, with acceptable battery life, replaceable battery, sturdy, initially with no less than 16G ram (8G being absolute minimum), preferably expandable; screen size 15" or larger
initial budget (without ram and hard drive) around 600€, with small adjustments upwards possible.
thoughts? opinions? comments?
