I wrote a linux server daemon to manage the flow of 23kW/h energy at home. Today was the first day I took it out of simulation mode and granted full access to the live system (which could incur costs if it's not working properly).
Somehow it felt like activating a high-frequency-trading-algorithm on a portfolio with real dollars 😆
