Until the frontal lobe is developed to the earliest possible extent of supporting consciousness, it cannot be souled any more than a tree can be souled. If one makes an argument for eventuality, “if left alone it would inevitably become souled”, that argument doesn’t hold when discussing an embryo in a petri-dish which was created by human intervention and would not survive/become souled absent additional human intervention.
