one option is to keep more physical backups - one upon a time those were CDRs, but over time those would get corrupted. I could backup to a hard drive that I leave elsewhere, like my office - but that means I wouldn't back up nearly as frequently, and I'd hate to lose vital stuff.
Maybe I'm too married to my data - I'm not at all a data hoarder, but this felt like a pragmatic, lowish cost way to keep my stuff safe.. ish.
