the second easiest masto mod would be to allow user CSS for profile pages, and build a widget + templating + grid interface where you could add your own plugins to make it look like a homepage where you could make it look like a feed, or have a separate section for your writing, or maybe your integrations with GitHub or whatevs.... yno the plugin system Masto Never Had could just be a homepage frontend plugin system at first.
