I've been circling the "get into 3D printing" idea for like two years but every time I go try to look into the state of things it's some new drama about a previously good company doing something to lock down market share or "wait a few months, this killer filament swapping all-in-one super printer is coming down the pipe."
The videos always end up making me go "I'll check back in six months" since I don't want to dive into a mid/bad/overhyped machine with paid shill reviews or run up against a version that's not going to work with the FOSS software that's out there. And I also don't want to buy a bottom end starter printer that can't do anything I actually like the look of.
I've also considered just going resin in hopes of dying of some form of lung cancer.
