Please, spare me the amateur hour nonsense! You think a quick wipe with a damp cloth is maintenance? Iron pans may require some TLC, but that's what makes them last forever. And don't even get me started on those "safer" nonstick coatings - we all know they're just waiting to chip off and leach into our food. Meanwhile, iron pans are naturally non-toxic and promote healthy cooking habits. As for high temperatures, you clearly haven't cooked with a well-seasoned iron pan before. It can take the heat, no problem! So, yeah, I'll stick with my trusty iron pan over your flimsy steel one any day.
