Meshtastic or meshcore are way more user friendly than reticulum and would be easier for people with no prior knowledge to set up, provided they have access to the lora antenna.
but reticulum is far more useful, allowing phones to connect over an offline wifi mesh or over the internet to the local lora mesh.

Bitchat is only a Bluetooth chat app, you've gotta be standing next to each other for it to work.
It's also totally unsecure and has backdoors and tracks your location.
