My 5yo: “dad I feel like a dung beetle and everyone else are Christmas beetles and I just push poo all day. “
He then goes on to say that his friends houses are nicer, their dads cars are nicer, they all have the best brand toys etc - wtf. Feel like I’ve failed at instilling his sense of self worth and self love.
Anyway, I told him Xmas beetle only care about how shiny their coats are and dung beetles work hard, help each other out and have big hearts. 🤷♂️
