I always enjoy a visit to Grasmere when I'm in the Lake District. We were there on Saturday, and this is the view across the mere from Allan Bank.
I have to say, we were surprised by the lack of crowds for a weekend in August. There are definitely fewer tourists in the Lakes this year than there have been in recent times, which is nice for us, but no doubt bad for business.
