I can't even afford a hardware wallet for now. Once I actually do get into Bitcoin more than just the ~$10's worth I have from zaps, I might consider otherwise, but when I don't have much wealth stored in it, I don't see a point in buying one.
In the meantime, I'll probably set up Cupcake from Cake Wallet, seeing how I love their standard wallet app. Would be a nice middle ground and if it works, I might just stick with it.
