Do faraday cages work? Yeah basically the same as sticking it in a metal box. I have it mainly for ridiculous keyless car key to be honest but sometimes it goes in there with it. I noticed when you first put it on airplane it actually pings to the towers then probably so they know the last place it was before it 'went dark'. I havent sat around with a meter with it all day on airplane but at this point with all the stuff they never told you about phones like they listen to all your conversation it wouldnt suprise me if they also occasionally pinged on airplane mode too. If I kept it in the same room as me I would probably use it more though.
