The freefree.ps Mastodon instance will cease operating on May 28th, 2026 or shortly after.
Personally I will continue using the Fediverse. I love it here. I just don't have it in me to be a moderator and the costs are getting difficult to justify.
My solidarity with Palestinians will never end, and the next project is already on the horizon.
I am currently rethinking freefree.ps and its future as a Mastodon server.
Operating this server has become expensive, and moderation puts me into a (small) position of authority that I do not want.
I am starting to think that I could better support Palestinians as a regular user on a larger server.
If I decide to shut down this server, there will be at least two months notice to allow users to transfer their accounts.
