Network SysAdmin Question:
I have a need to host an authoritative DNS server. The organization has been using BIND for probably over 20 years. Moving out of a physical location to "cloud", Digital Ocean.
I could use Digital Ocean as a DNS server, but I think that may not cover all the bases with a migration, as I would have to change the name servers to Digital Ocean for each domain name at the registrar... and there's a lot of domain names.
Could just use the same software, BIND, but I am interested in alternatives.
NSD looks like a strong contender and likely will go with that.
But wanted to ask if anyone has had great (or terrible) experience with authoritative DNS servers.
