According to the Free Speech Union of Australia, the Anthony Albanese government's 144-page Censorship Bill:
- Mimics the UK provisions (where 30 people a day are arrested for social media posts), but with even fewer safeguards.
- Includes hate speech laws, which were originally conceived by the Soviet Union under Josef Stalin.
Submissions to a last minute Committee inquiry are due by 4pm today.
