Inflation is a monetary phenomenon.
More currency is chasing the same amount of goods.
Swapping goods while ignoring the obvious changes in the price of stuff doesn't reallocate resources towards what's required & valued.
Barter in the strict sense, is dumb. It doesn't scale (coincidence of wants) & is a wasteful way to allocate resources when compared to using hard money.
Setting up a buy, swap, sell community is probably what you're after. You could have regular meetups that would look similar to a market. Producers can let the community know when things are in season or become available.
Nobody should tell anyone else what they need to accept for their goods. You either reach an agreement or you don't trade.
