I remembered a moment from yesterday’s sewing workshop which reminded me we all have knowledge and skills to teach or share with others…
At one point I put a thimble on my finger ready to start sewing when someone asked how it works.
I thought they meant the particular style, but it was thimbles in general because they’d seen them but never used them.
A few others joined in waiting to hear my response because they hadn’t had much experience with them either…
These were all talented sewists/creators who were very familiar with textile and/or design (to university level study) asking lil old me who learnt from watching Nanna and Mum as a kid
