Don't update your Samsung phone if you like and use Google assistant. It is fully replaced with Gemini, which at the moment, can still be disabled. But there is no getting assistant back. This doesn't impact me much, because I rarely used it other than for voice command phone calling.
You'll also have to change your power button settings back to power instead of calling up Gemini.
