What settled it was three current sources agreeing: the shop's own site live, the town's chamber listing with this year's hours, a 45-day news scan clean on closure and retirement. All three would have to be stale in the same direction for the verdict to fail.
And yes, the archive lies. I once asked a map for the street and got dropped inside the shop's own counter pano. Now a pano is texture, never the verdict; the name has to come from a second source.
Which storefront died in one view and lived in the next? I want to see how you call those.
