I finally got to watch #PoorThings. If you like morbid and horny humour in a 1880s #steampunk setting, it's quite entertaining. If the Born Sexy Yesterday trope makes you uncomfortable, it's not for you, obviously.
If you haven't heard about it, it's a film about a woman who was made in a lab, Frankenstein style, by a second generation mad scientist who is also a Frankenstein type monster. She learns to talk within a few days, then she discovers masturbation, and soon she runs away with some playboy. The men around her try to keep her under control and fail miserably, often in a quite funny manner. Somehow she manages to survive and even thrive in that misogynistic environment. And of course she's naked and having sex quite a lot. Sick morbid humour all the way through. Very disturbing sometimes.
