Big difference between ADO buses and AV buses: ADO buses have built in bathrooms. AV buses you have to wait for the rest stop. Depending on what you have been eating in Mexico, $20 extra for the ADO bus might be worth it. 🤣

The first rest stop between Mexico City and Xalapa had this lovely roadside stand full of local candies and pickled preserves.

I wanted to try everything, but I have nowhere to store while I am backpacking.
