We don't, unless I want something from that relay. Then we auth to make sure we get the info we want.

The point is that you can try to hide auth, but it is extremely easy for the relay to guess who you are, which client you are using and where are you based by just analyzing your filters, including wisp filters as they stand today.

They don't need auth. They already know who you are. Not authing doesn't increase the privacy of anyone.

It's just privacy theater.
