P2A was going to be used for attaching fees when closing lightning channels if I'm not wrong, sad to see that so many outputs are actually used for meta-protocols. But then again, if we want to get rid of spam on Bitcoin the only sure way is to restrict transaction types to only a handful of kinds and reject everything else, not sure how desirable this is.
