The other day I was thinking about what a breath of fresh air it is to talk to another autistic person. It's exceptional.

The thing is, NT communication with each other is like that most of the time. They only have trouble with us. For us, the routine experience is difficulty talking with them. For them, ease is typical, and we're the only ones hard to talk to.

I spent most of my life working on communication and thinking communication is just a hard thing to do for everyone. Or it's hard to do well, or hard to do for anything moderately complicated. I couldn't understand that some people thought communication was only difficult with me.

I don't know what my point was. Maybe just that it's not fair.
