I think the only #Fediverse apps that could comply with age verification laws (as they have the tools available) are #Threads & #WordPress (I believe commercial plugins are available for the latter).
Age verification tech is best handled by experienced third-party apps (for security reasons), but #Mississippi does not understand the risk & cost factors for complying with their law.
