Right, that makes sense. I've been to some weird events and have seen this kind of groupthink.
That said, there's this part of me that thinks if a person becomes wealthy and they do not spend at least some of their time becoming more knowledgeable and educated, then they committed an offense against humanity (over and above the other ones they probably committed to become wealthy). The unexamined life is not worth living and whatnot.
