I love the way people are putting the books they read on their websites. Especially, if there's covers alongside the titles—but it makes me wonder if that’s legal.
If the covers are hosted with the website, technically that would be a breach of copyright, right?
But if they are linked from something like archive.org, the website makes a request to an external service without the user’s consent, which could be considered a breach of GDPR. 🤔
Does anyone know more about this?
