Speaking as a survivor or a totalitarian system:
The things that work are protests and solidarity.
They will try to go after individuals, so solidarity is very important. An attack on one is an attack on all. Don't be a bystander.
The more public the protests are, the more effective they are. Protesting inside gated communities and ivory towers doesn't work.
This is why I see no sense in boycotting Twitter.
You might feel weak as an individual against a mob, but as a community we are very strong. A society would collapse without scientists.
