This could be a heated rant about GNOME (npub1dug…kxeq) changing defaults in very stupid ways.

But it isn't, because as I learned, no amount of complaining, be it here, in forums or mailing lists or bug trackers, will change their will.

(Case in point: the default scan application has "PNG (lossless)" as the new default save option, and it will not remember the previous choice, so I will have to, every fucking single time, which is annoying as an itch in the ridge when scanning paperworks)
