We’re talking about featureparams, which is mechanism of name table strings mapped from the GSUB table for some specific OTL features (stylistic sets and character variants). Font makers can use featureparams to provide descriptive labels for these features, which software *may* display in the typography UI.
Like other name table strings, featureparams names can be localised using platform, encoding andf language identifiers.
