Suffering on its own doesn't entitle anyone to get some monetary compensation, otherwise I might punch myself in the face to get some sats.
This case obviosly is more nuanced, because my sacrifice makes every bitcoin holder slightly richer for the locking duration.
An analogy: women are a scarce resource men compete for. If I decide to go to prison for 1y, then I am out of the mating market, and other men might pay me for that (they have all become slightly more attractive due to reduced supply).
Re-reading our previous messages I am more and more convinced that this actually makes sense. I think the value of these tokens should be very small (likely less than 1% of the sats), but who knows.
