BLOCKCHAINYOGI on Nostr: I spent an hour in a float tank yesterday with no toddler in my ear for once, and it ...
I spent an hour in a float tank yesterday with no toddler in my ear for once, and it gave me time to reflect. I thought about Bitcoin, the future I see for myself, and how technology will reshape humanity. And of course, how I plan to get paid.
After thinking it through, I sold a few recent positions in my Roth IRA. That included $ASST, $KULR, $TSLA, and even $SYM. All of them were sold for profit. I moved that capital into a more focused bet: $IONQ and added more $CEP.
I even asked AI which was the bigger opportunity between $SYM and $IONQ. The response leaned toward $SYM having a more proven track record and real revenue. But my intuition says quantum computing will eventually outperform what symbiotic robotics can do on its own.
While holding $SYM, it felt like I was signaling how bullish I was on replacing human labor. That didn’t sit right with me. I get that it’s built to boost warehouse efficiency through machines and robotics, but it comes at the cost of jobs. I’d rather back something that offers more potential upside for humanity.
Bitcoin treasury companies like $MSTR and $CEP fit that vision. And $IONQ is my hedge in case SHA-256 ever breaks. It also has the potential to enhance fields like drug discovery, cybersecurity, and more.
So here’s my concentrated portfolio within the legacy financial system. This is the portion not in Bitcoin itself. I’ll never keep more than $10K in long-term stock holdings. And since these grow tax free in a Roth IRA, they also help on the tax side.
There’s more to why I keep these in a Roth and not go all-in on Bitcoin, but that’s a discussion for another time.
