I will probably have to get some U-Box containers for the stuff that didn't fit into the PODS
the pods comes in 8, 12 or 16 foot containers and mine is 16
U-Box is 5 foot but you can get multiple containers
now i will have to pay another $1,300 for a U-Box in addition to the $4,500 for PODS which is itself in addition to $4,000 ( $2500 + insurance, diesel fuel and hotels ) for Penske truck and $2,000 for moving labor ( 2 separate loadings and 2 separate unloadings ).
i won't be getting any moving help for the U-Box at least - i only have smaller items left for it.
yeah frens all in all it seems like about $15,000 just to move all the shit, but you probably don't have two full size commercial trucks worth of shit like me and my honest advice is throw all that shit out - it costs more to move than it is worth.
like if i had tossed about $500 worth of furniture on the garbage i wouldn't have to be getting that $1,300 U-Box now because i am out of space.
but in practice it was impossible to know on day one 3 months ago how exactly it will all work out ... in the end a process like this will be hell no matter how intelligent you are about it.
