When we were kids we didn’t have the internet, our world revolved around a small bubble of influence, usually our parents and teachers which allowed us to stay blissfully ignorant to most of the ugliness. This generation has access to everything, the good, bad and the ugly, and without proper guidance I can see how kids can end up a bit off kilter. There was a time when I envied the newer generations, now I just feel sorry for them because are not allowed to have the same childhood that we grew up with.
That’s not to say that it was a cake walk for us either, in some ways it was harder because of the lack of technology, but it was certainly simpler.
