initial impressions are good :-) I love the feel and form factor. Software wise, the Tangara Companion app worked out of the box (Mac) and updated the firmware with no dramas. Device usability still TBD, I just haven't had much chance to play with it yet. I did play a few songs walking to and from the coffee shop with no problems.
