A lot of our indigenous plants have made their way across the world. Geraniums, Ixia and friesia to name but a few, which is what happens when you live in the smallest biome in the world (Fynbos) with the highest endemic plant count in the world.
To put that in perspective there are more unique species of plants on Cape Town's Table Mountain chain (40 km long) than there are in the whole of the UK.
