Sure, if you are already a bitcoiner. But dude, we gotta meet people where they are, not where we want them to be. This isn’t practical for someone who is busy as hell, juggling 100 different things, working long hours, has a 1.5 hour commute, lives out of his truck a few days a week, and has his system for payments and banking to get supplies and pay his laborers (that is this guy’s situation)

If I give him a homework assignment and throw him to the wolves with something deeply unfamiliar and uncomfortable, he’s going to either hate me, or worse do something stupid and lose it all.

He needs a lowest possible friction introduction, that lets him dip his toes. Then he comes back and while they work we keep talking, I keep assisting, show him how simple it can be, then we do a little transaction to a simple wallet on his phone. Maybe I tip him. Then we keep it up, start doing all of our business in bitcoin, I show him how to keep 5% of each project in BTC. Then it goes up in price and he wants to save more. Then it becomes a meaningful amount I we talk about a more robust wallet and how to hold his own keys. Then for the next tip I get him a Tapsigner and Nunchuk and we walk through it in about 15-20 minutes one day… and on and on.

Step by step we go from unfamiliar, worried, and overwhelmed, to understanding, interest, growing savings and holding his own keys. But it takes MONTHS to do this the right way and in a way that won’t just drop him in the middle of the ocean and leave him to tread water and expect him to build his own boat from things that are floating by. Thats what this feels like to most people.

The simple truth is that real onboarding takes time and *our* dedication to helping people get over that first mountain, imo.
