I don't disagree with the importance of the household, but every time I see someone make the argument that the household is the basic building block of civilization *over against the individual,* I just have to wonder how it is possible there can be a household without individuals. And if you cannot have a household without individuals, then how can the household be more basic to civilization than the individual?

Everything we face now in the West is downstream of the hollowing out of the household. This mean that the recovery of productive, covenantal, sovereign, and faithful households is of the utmost importance. Restore the household, restore civilization.
