This looks to me like you have some gtk theme applied which breaks when used on gimp (those teal checkmarks are not the default gtk style, so unless you enabled that look from within gimp they are not to blame for ot working with whatever css you (or your os) applied to their app)
theres a reason why many gnome apps have started showing a https://stopthemingmy.app/ badge in their repositories
