I've used LibreOffice exclusively since 2014 and it really is a great, fully-capable office suite, that handles MS Office documents very competently. It's free as in price, and free as in freedom, and it doesn't stab you in the back by saving your docs in someone else's cloud where God-knows-what will happen to them. No enshittification!
