Yeah man, Monero multisig is totally doable – official CLI wallet with the MMS thing makes it pretty straightforward for 2-of-3 or whatever. But honestly? Most Monero folks don't even bother because the privacy is already so baked in – nobody can see your stack or target you the way they can on BTC. So multisig feels like extra hassle for marginal gain on personal holdings.
Haveno is a multi sig site which is an on/off ramp for monero. Multisig is a doable command line based task to do it yourself but most don’t need to do it and therefore it doesn’t have polished gui’s .
Hardware-wise you don't need to lug a node around lol. My full monero nodes are on TOR I just tell my wallets to use them. If you trust hardware wallets (I don’t) Just grab a Ledger (Nano S Plus or X) or a Trezor Model T/Safe 3/5 – they both work great with the official Monero GUI. Plug in, sign offline, keys never leave the device, use a remote node (or your own at home if you're paranoid). Super clean setup. Cake Wallet on phone is solid too for day-to-day smaller amounts.
Point is: Monero already gives you way better privacy out of the box, plus decent hardware support without turning self-custody into a full-time job. Bitcoiners chase multisig because they kinda have to – we don't as much. Less headache, better protection in a lot of ways.
